Welcome to Rowing Cares

Rowing Forward, Together

Rowing Cares unites the rowing and cancer communities through meaningful programming and events—on the water and on ergs.  Founded in 1993, over $4 million has been raised and distributed to cancer centers and rowing programs across the country.

Rowing Cares regattas honor, celebrate, and remember those impacted by cancer, while raising critical funds for survivor programs and community cancer organizations.

Survivor Rowing Network

The Survivor Rowing Network (SRN) is a global movement helping cancer patients and survivors reclaim confidence, physical and mental health, strength, emotional resilience, and connection through the sport of rowing.

Rooted in healing, hope, and community, SRN is open to all people with all cancer diagnoses. Rowing is transformative—offering structure, grounding, and purpose during recovery, especially after treatment, when uncertainty is common.

In 2025, over 700 rowers participated in 40 SRN programs in 10 countries.

All Cancers. All People. One Community.

Our Impact

  • $150,000+ granted in 2025 to survivor rowing programs and cancer organizations across the U.S.

  • Nearly 2,000 survivors reached through rowing programs.

Every dollar raised in each community stays local—funding education, screenings, survivor programs, follow-up care, and family support

Why We Row

For us, it’s personal. Volunteers, sponsors, donors, and rowers across the country have all been touched by cancer.

Every stroke, every dollar, every survivor matters.

We can—and will—win this battle together.
